We made plans to meet at Dave and Sandy's this morning. After eating tacos, we headed out for a day in the town.
Our first stop was Dave's play area....he has all kinds of toys here.
His beautiful 1964 Chevy Chevelle.
The Allegro Bus....
One of his Motorcycles.....
His trophies for the car....Nice! We follow Dave, Manuel and George along the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway....
Sandy drives Janet and me....yes, so we could take pictures.
Our second stop was the Minnehaha Falls....this is a gorgeous sight.
These falls are just so beautiful and so was the park....
Anyone know what this may be? Awesome looking flowers....
We drove all along the Mississippi River....This is The Minnesota University Hospital.
The University is on both sides of the river....The walkway is at least a mile.
Several barges along the Mississippi...
Our third destination was the Mill City Museum.
The tour was very interesting....The Ruins of the Gold Metal Flour Mill.
A huge explosion caused by the flour dust.....
Mill displays....
The Ruins... The Flour Tower is a moving show in an elevator through 8 floors.
Looks from the Observation Deck.....Awesome sights!
The Stone Arch Bridge....
The Locks on the bottom of the picture....
There were many canoes going thru the locks....must be tours or something.
Minneapolis is a very beautiful city! This was a great tour.
We are all hungry by now so we head out to find a place to eat.
the Metrodome, where the Minnesota Vikings Football Team play.
This team used to be owned by San Antonio's Red McCombs.
Our ride back home through many lakes and some rivers....
Thank you, Steve and Sandy for such a great time and for all your help while we were here.
Tomorrow, we will move on down to Iowa. Until then!
