Today, Monday, we drove about 275 miles from Key West to Fort Myers, FL. Beautiful scenery passing up the Florida Keys.
These guys are taking pictures on the side of this busy highway. I am sure they will get a ticket since "no parking" signs are everywhere.
Entering Islamorada. Ed, this is really a beautiful area....should visit it sometime!
This is a hurricane memorial....not sure which hurricane.
As we pass thru Islamorada, it began to get windy and seems to be cooler.
Notice on this picture, middle right, there is a giant lobster!
Bob & JoAnn right behind us, as seen thru the rear view camera...
A very happy Alligator....
Manuel Diaz has many many farms in this area....
The sky is really dark and seems like it will start raining any minute.
We got a good down pour....washed the coach and SUV down.
We decided to stop at the Indian Casino for a quick lunch. We ate in our coaches.
As we stop, Manuel checks things out as I make something to eat. There is a blue Allegro bus, here, too.
Then we drive thru alligator alley (hwy 41). The alligators are all along this road! Scary!
People are actually feeding them. See them laying on the grass? I do not like that!
All of this area is swampy and alligatory!
Now we are on I 75...they have some really nice and fast boats here!
A nice shopping center entrance.
We arrived at Fort Myers and parked at Wal-Mart. I looked for Mimi's and found it! Richard King introduced us to these nice restaurants. Bob & JoAnn really enjoyed it here, too.
We will check out some RV Parks tomorrow and tour this area.
