This old jail was very interesting to visit....
As we drove up, we found a prisoner doing some carpentry work....
The Old Sherriff.
More prisoners doing yard work....
The present Sherriff checks everyone's paperwork....we are all prisoners as far as he knows.
They put all the women in one jail cell....
There were 4 prisoners per cell....
He and his family had living quarters in the jail building...
This is where the term Jail Bird came from...
The Prisoner sleeps in his cell...
This one eats his lunch.... This one just hangs out....
Guns collected from crimes committed....
The jail had very little electricity, no water, etc.
A tour guide...distracted by my camera....
We enjoyed this tour, too. More to come on things we did today but I am very tired and will post more tomorrow. Good night.
