We drove from St. Augustine to Apopka, Florida today. It was an 80 mile drive so we were set up and in place within two hours. We left JoAnn and Bob Srutka as they were traveling to the Merritt Island area. Our plan is to meet up with them again along this trip before Key West.
We are right outside of Orlando and will meet up with my nephew, Jesse Joe Aleman and his family. We are looking forward to seeing them. Here are a few pictures of our drive. I did not take too many pictures.
This is the Indian Forest RV Park in St. Augustine where we had been staying.
The sky looks partly cloudy.
We made a pit stop at the Flying J at St. Augustine. This guy has a nice set up of Florida Oranges and Grapefruits.
We reached Daytona Beach....nice area. I'd like to come back for a day trip here.
The sun shined for a short period and now the sky is dark again.
We are almost at our destination.
Over the St. Johns River.
Nice overpass....
And another overpass...
This trucker blocked my view but the ends of the bridge are really pretty.
We are at the Orange Blossom RV Resort (not really a resort!).
I guess it is considered a resort because of the heated swimming pool, shuffleboard, horse shoes and playground.
Tomorrow evening we will probably visit with Jesse Joe, Bobbi and Little Jesse. We are looking forward to seeing them.
I cleaned the coach and just watched TV & just rested this afternoon.. Tomorrow we will check out the area.
