We left Red Bay, AL at about 10 am this Saturday morning. Chuck & Lorraine's coach as we leave.
Bob and JoAnn Srutka head out in front of us. It has rained some of the night and morning.
Still sprinkling....
We head out on Hwy 23 out of Red Bay.
The skies are pretty dark but the sun wants to shine....
Some of the trees are starting to sprout blooms...
We drive thru Birmingham, AL. Traffic is a little heavy but not too bad.
Heading towards Montgomery, AL.
A beautiful church...
This water tower is painted like a peach.....pretty neat! Almost like the Strawberry at Poteet, TX.
These pear trees are in full bloom. They do not give fruit.
They seem to grow wild....
The Tallapoosa River as we pass through Montgomery, Al.
Jesus Loves you and me.....
I think this is a Cobra or Black Hawk Helicopter on display...
This is a building on The Troy State University campus.
Long highway. There are many many travelers today. Some trucker mention that it was Spring breakers...
The Pike County Cattlemen and Cattlewomen....that is what the signs says. It is made of aluminum.
The rooster on the right is made up of car bumpers....That is what the GPS said. Mark, I really like the update you installed on our GPS.
More shrubs in full bloom.
And then there is this huge bull!
The bikers are out today. It is a bit cold out.
Nice plane display at a Military Reserve building.
And then the Military Artillery...
The Big Peanut People....so cute!
Sprinkles came and went....not too bad to drive in.
We have reached out destination....Wal-Mart in Dothan, AL. We will spend the night at this Super Wal-Mart. We & the Srutkas were the first here and now there are several other RVs.
Bob & JoAnn wave to me as I take a picture.
The trees are just beautiful. JoAnn walks precious....
We went in to Wal-Mart to pay for our spot and when we return, it is dark...barely see the coaches.
We will get a good night's rest and then head out in the morning.....
