We decided yesterday that we would take a drive to St. Petersburg and just check out the area. We wanted to drive through the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and take pictures. It is a beautiful 5.5 mile long, 431 foot high bridge. It is known to be #3 of the Top Ten Bridges by the Travel Channel. It is a pre-stressed concrete cable stayed bridge....Wow! Just Beautiful!
Our drive was only 13 miles, first thru the Gandy Bridge (Hwy 92), which bridges Tampa to St. Petersburg...Nice drive.
The Howard Frankland Bridge (I 275) runs parallel with the Gandy Bridge.
Our first view of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge...
This is a long fishing pier....runs right along side the Sunshine Skyway Bridge...
This is a beautiful bridge....
The American, POW-MIA, and Florida Flags...
The bridge from the South of St. Petersburg rest stop.....awesome sight.
We head back to St. Petersburg over the bridge again.
These bridges are so amazing to me....
So this is how they place the boats on the high rise storages. We are looking for a good place to eat along this marina.
A view of the Atlanta Bay Tropicana Field, which is home to the Major League Baseball Rays (Stingrays).

A beautiful First Baptist Church...
The Greyhound Racing/Derby Club Complex in St. Petersburg.
All along the Gulf Coast, people are camping. Looks like they are preparing for the Easter weekend.

Oops! This 18 wheeler knocked down this rail road crossing sign! His U-Turn was too wide!
We had a great Good Friday! Want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter weekend.
