Our Drive to La Place, LA

We left Gulf Shores at about 10:30 this morning.   Our destination is La Place, Louisiana, to the home of Dale and Sandra Trepagnier.   Manuel and Dale were in the Air force together and stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio back in the 60s. We had a good 200 mile drive.

We got to La Place at about 2 pm.   I wonder what Andouille is??!!  La Place is the Andouille Capital of the World.

We parked at Wal-Mart and had company immediately after we parked.  Nice couple from Missouri heading to Houston.

I am enjoying you posts and pictures, but I think that tunnel is going under the bay in Mobile, AL. The Navy ship you saw is the Battle Ship Alabama that is on permanent display in Mobile Bay. Just put the Andouille in your red beans and rice and you will be OK.
Safe Travels,
