We arrived a day early at Gulf Shores. We got all set up and went to pick up our rally material. It was an easy going day. We met some of the people here. About 100 Tiffins are scheduled to be at this rally.
Mark will be parked between the Srutkas and us. They are to arrive Wednesday morning.
There are already many, many rigs here now.
Joe and Loretta are here and they came to visit us. Bob is here visiting, too. I saw Joe Dabney earlier today but Jan had gone into town. The Caywoods are also here. Nice seeing everyone we already know and meeting new folks.
We got together for dinner at Lambert's Cafe, Home of the Throwed Rolls. They actually throw the rolls to you from across the room. Neat place, good food.
Sue and Mark arrived at about 9. We are having trouble with the jacks so Manuel and Mark are piddling out there. Manuel finally got a return call from Tiffin so we will have to take the coach in to the dealer in San Antonio when we get back.
I do not know who these guys are but they are our neighbors. They are piddling with there outside TV. Some got their coaches washed or detailed.
We met Bob yesterday and yes, he is telling us all about when he met Richard King!
Mark gets Richard on the phone and passes the phone to Bob. He is telling Richard what nice folks we are!!! We are not what he expected....nor what Richard had told him about us all. This is a really nice guy.
We all met at the tents for social hour at 5 pm. This was a pot luck dinner and since there are a hundred rigs here, there was a ton of food. All was good. This is Backdraft, a Retired Firefighter who is the President. He and two other guys began this club in 2003, which only had them 3 as members. Today they have over 4000 members. They do a great job for all Tiffin owners. They have loads of information on their forum. Anything you ever wanted to know, is there or they will find you an answer. They are doing a great job.
The Prayer before the meal. They also honored the Veterans, then we had the Pledge. Very nice!
What is going on here? Looks like Sue and JoAnn are throwing kisses to someone....but who?
Bob, Manuel, Sue, JoAnn, Mark, and Joe.
Bob is baaack! He is trying to tell me that I better not take a picture. I got them anyway!!
Oh, Manuel won a door prize.....a gift card from Camping World.
Back at the rigs just visiting.
They are having a crafts and garage sale on Friday. Sue wants to draw caricatures so she wants to practice. She drew all of us. Great job, Sue. (Loretta)
Joe. I did not take pictures of JoAnn nor myself.
We had a very nice day here at the Rally.
