Today, Monday, we met Bob at the National Museum of Naval Aviation, which is almost right across from where we are staying.
These bronze statues of Soldiers stand under the jet.
They have a lot of model aircraft carriers.
The USS Lexington is now docked in Corpus Christi. It is a museum.
These are the props on these ships, they each had four props.
A lot of the displayed planes here have their wings folded and I think it is because they are over crowded in the museum. They are building a brand new hanger for these planes.
These retired Blue Angels are suspended from the auditorium like center.
I noticed that there was going to be some kind of reception so I asked and they told me they were having a Change of Command Ceremony. Seems like we came at a perfect time.
A lot of Sailors here. Note the sailors standing on the second floor.
A lot of security here, too.
The Honor Guard are ready.
The Flags saluted. Up on stage are the outgoing Commander, incoming Commander and the interim Commander.
The outgoing Commanding Officer Strong, gives his farewell and speech.
The incoming Commanding Officer Plummer states his orders and gives his speech.
It was a short ceremony but it was really neat to see this in action.
Some of these guys seems to be glad this ceremony is over.
Back to the museum...
Looking down from the second floor.
You can see how crowded the displays are.
Another look at the beautiful Blue Angels.
Memorial Wall....
These brothers both served the Navy....Memorial to them.
The body of this plane reminded me of a canoe.
A picture of a picture.
I like these benches.
We had a very nice visit to this museum. Tomorrow, we will drive to Gulf Shores, AL which is about 40 miles away. We are going to have a Tiffin RV Network Rally there for 4 days.

We were there a few years ago but we didn't get it depicted the way YOU do. Great pictures, girl. Can't wait for next weekend. (Well, the weekend after that)
Oh yeah, George F was worried about you. Told him all was well.
