Aerospace Museum

On our way back to the RV Park, we made a stop at the Aerospace Museum but it was almost closing time. Here are only a few pictures....

Manuel used work on this C-124. What he remembers the most is crawling thru the wing to the back of the engine to make adjustments on the engine while they were running....Remember that, Ed Reed? Ed sent a note stating that he still has nightmares about that. He said they were in flight to England over water and he had to crawl in there to work. Boy, what they had to go thru.

He used to work on the C-124 when he joined the AF in 1966, he was 19 years old.

I only named those that he knew names of.

This is a C-124 and Manuel used to work on these, too. This was a training aircraft.

This is a C-119, called the box car.....he also worked on this aircraft.

We only took a few pictures because they closed the museum about 30 minutes after we got there. We did not get to see the indoor museum. We will be back there tomorrow and will post more then.
