We drove out of Durango, CO at 5:15 am and drove for 8 hours. It was a 450 mile drive but the roads were very curvy, the elevation was high and coming down the hills just took time. We also stopped several times to enjoy the views and to take pictures, of course.
I took and posted a lot of pictures so please give them time to download.....it may take a while.
The sun is rising....
some tee-pees....
just an old barn.
We are heading to the Mountains.....beautiful sight!
I thought of Mark & Sue and their group in Alaska as we passed construction on this road....
Are the roads like this in Alaska, Guys?!!!
A farm in the mountains...
just mountains.
the formations are awesome....
Wilson Arch was awesome....Interesting how it formed.
I climbed up a little so Manuel could take a picture....
more shapes and sizes....
you drive a few miles and the forms change. It is an awesome drive via HWY 160, HWY 191 and until we got to I 70 then I 15. It is a very scenic drive. The town of Moab was awesome to drive thru.
We stopped at this Shell which was also an RV Camp. They had a lot of garden art....
enjoy the pictures below.
I walked around taking pictures and Manuel rests a little and checks out that tow...
back on the road....
We drove along this river and railroad tracks for hundreds of miles. It was a beautiful drive.
We are coming downhill and this scares me.....
We passes so many trains. I love to see trains on the mountains.....
another beautiful farm on the mountains....
These curves really scare me, especially when you can not see what is around the corner.
Beautiful, Beautiful mountains....
we move closer to them....
and closer. They have a little bit of snow on them still.
As we make it down the mountain....these energy producers are right along the road....never seen them this close and they are just huge.
a little more snow on this mountain and the clouds are really low or the mountain is really tall!
We drive thru Salt Lake City.....nice skyline. When we were here about 4 years ago, we spend a week touring this city. It is a beautiful city.
We are now headed to Ogden, UT where we will camp at the Hill AFB FamCamp. I will post picture of those in a little while. We had a long day but it was a beautiful drive. More to come....
