We left Mount Vernon today. We are now camping at Bay View State Park which is only 10 miles away. This is a small but nice park.
We park the RV and set out for a drive.
This beach is here at the park. I took pictures of this area last week. The tide is up a little today but this boat is still in the sandy beach.
The floating slide that was on sand last week is now in water.
so is this boat....I bet the owners are glad about that.
We drove into Edison which is a very small community, about 5 miles from the park. Nice town by the mountains.
Just an old barn....
The downtown area....
There are many bikers in this area....
The mountain side.
The little church. It had no sign on it, but it seems to be very old.
Just a house across from the church.
We then drove to Samish Island which is another 5 miles away.....
This is a one street island with homes on both sides and they all have waterfront properties.
Very nice views....
Views from Samish Island to Bay View.
Tomorrow, we will attempt to take the Washington State Ferry into the San Juan Islands. We will take the ferry at Anacortes and they take you to Sidney, British Columbia via the Orcas Island, Shaw Island, Lopez Island and San Juan Island. this will be all day so there is more to come.
