Relaxing at The Lake

We have found this RV Park so nice and relaxing, we have decided to stay a few more days.   Actually, Richard and Kathleen Bennett have talked us into staying a few more days and it did not take them too long to convince us.  It is so beautiful here and the weather is great.

We took a ride along the lake and found this retired Captain Al James.

Yesterday, Monday, we drove into Hermiston.   Richard and Kathleen came with us and we got groceries, etc.

On the way home, we decided to have dinner at Macario's and it was great food.

We have spent a lot of time with Richard and Kathleen Bennett.  Richard is a retired MD, PhD. and Kathleen is a retired artist (designer).

The ice cream man comes around and all the kids gather.....

 

Later in the evening, they had Music in the Park.....good entertainment.

These are teenage kids playing 50 gallon drums and they actually made good music.

 

Everyone brings their chairs and blankets since it is cool and enjoy the music by the lake....

Pictures are too dark since there is so much shade and it is getting dark....

We are back at the RV.

Tuesday morning, we made breakfast  for Richard and Kathleen.   Today is also Richard's birthday.

They brought us flowers.....beautiful roses!

Kathleen bought Richard 3 dozen roses and they also shared them with us.

This is their Prevost.  It has a special paint job; it has several of the Star Wars characters detailed on it.   This Coach has been used in several movies, one of which is the series "Criminal Minds".   Very interesting.

This is a better picture of their Spartan II which has also been used in many movies.  The one I remember most is "Beverly Hills Cop" where Eddie Murphy drove his car.  This is very very interesting.

Richard and Kathleen invited us over for dinner tonight.  They also had the camp Hosts, Bob & Donna Moore, who are from Lake Havasa, AZ.   They are all very nice.

Richard did all the cooking and his food was so good.   This is a peppers stuffed with Salmon and Crab and of course other ingredients.   They also had rice on a leaf of cabbage. This was an awesome meal.

We had too much shade but here we are enjoying our dinner.
