Snoqualmie Falls & More

We rested a little while and then we decided to drive around the area.  Snoqualmie is only about 5 miles away so we headed there.  We are about 35 miles from Seattle. 

These falls are 270 feet, about 100 feet higher than the famed Niagara Falls.  What an awesome sight.

We visited Preston, WA which is only a few miles away from the RV Park.

This is what used to be a mill, built by the Swedish founders.   It is now a Community Center.

 

The gazebo in the yard.....what beautiful hanging baskets of white petunias.

These large mums are blue and lavender.  Everyone seems to grow these in their yards.

 

More petunias in the courtyard.   They hold special events in the large tent.

We then visited the small community of Fall City.       More carved wood art.

This is a burgers and shakes place called "Small Fryes".  There are a lot of young people rafting/tubing on the river so they stop here to eat.

We then drive about 20 miles into Auburn.....Beautiful drive, too.

I did pretty good, set my limit at $50 and I ended up with $200.  Not bad!!

Poor Manuel, he is tired.   He is watching his movies.  We had a long day....
