Before we left Steve and Sandy's, I took some pictures of Sandy's brother hard at work. He has two properties in the same neighborhood where Steve and Sandy live.
This is such a beautiful area with mountains all around and many lakes and rivers nearby.
We made a quick stop at the National Forest Information Center.
A log company. Here are the bare logs....
Here is the cut up lumber and ready to go to retail stores....
The beautiful Cedar River....
We arrived at McChord AFB at about 1 pm. Holiday Park is a really beautiful park. This is a first come, first serve RV Park and found some leaving just as we drove in. The lady said she was paid up until tomorrow so we parked in her spot.
This is a really nice and roomy space with full hook ups, so we are happy.
We took a drive into the commissary for some groceries. The runway crosses our path. We stop and wait for this C-117 to fly over us.
It was noisy as it touched ground and went up again. I guess they are practicing touch and go...
We arrive at our site.
