This trip was made yesterday, Monday but when we got home, I was tired so I did not post. Today, Tuesday, we just took it easy, rode around the park and took a few pictures.

We decided to stop and have lunch at the Cornerhouse Restaurant in the Downtown Hotel. We had soup and salad which was perfect, as it is pretty chilly here.

The hanging baskets are so colorful!
We head back to McChord AFB....
This is the Madison Indian Reservation Casino. We did not make a stop....

We made a quick stop at the Lavender Farm. The plants are just so aromatic....

You can see the tip of Mount Rainier from the bridge.....almost on the left center.
A closer view as we drive into McChord AFB.
We are now on base, heading home.
Today, Tuesday, we took a day to just hang around the base. We get our scooters and just ride a round. They have a really nice paved trail all around the base.
Early afternoon and we head to the Officers Club for lunch. They have a two for one today.
They have a C-124 model on display. Ed, Manuel said you flew on these. Remember crossing the wings?!!!!
They even have a table reserved for Retirees.....how about that?!
They have a memorial to Clark Gable...He left his acting career and enlisted here at McChord Army Air Corps. He later became a Second Lieutenant. His discharge papers were signed by then Captain Ronald Reagan.
We then went to the Barber Shop and this nice lady cut Manuel's hair.
They have this airplane chair for kids....so cute.
This airplane was on the runway.....
So now I am caught up again with my blog.....hope you enjoy!
