Today we slept a little late and then headed out to church services. The day was very nice and sunny so we headed out to Gig Harbor which is about 20 miles from McChord. We crossed the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and arrived at Gig Harbor.
We start our walk down Harborview Drive.
Isn't this a nice 67 Camero?!
Nice shops....
Beautiful flowers....
We make a stop at Skansie Brothers Park. There are several parks in the area.
They are getting ready for a photo session....I ask if I may take pictures and the guy says sure!
This is how they transport the Bike!
We continue our walk on the harbor....
I walk up a pier to take more pictures and Manuel sits and enjoys the sights from the park.....
There were two old men coming to dock the boat and one of them asked me if I would take the rope and pull the boat in for them. He said he had shoulder problems and if I would help.....I gladly helped them dock!!
This young couple just floats and relaxes. This is a beautiful harbor!
There are beautiful homes on the hill...
There is a lot of activity in this area. Kayakers and boats of all kinds....
I walk back to the park.....
These homes face the harbor.....it must be nice to have a home on the harbor.
A view from Bogue View Park....
We decided to have a late lunch at Anthony's Restaurant on the Harbor....
We opted to sit outside on the deck and it was beautiful.
Pictures from the deck.....
Now we could view the peak of Mt. Rainier....top,center of picture.
There is a plane landing on the water....right in the center!
After we eat, we are off to our walk...
A nice mural....
We head back to McChord. We had a very nice day at Gig Harbor...
As we cross the bridge, there is Mt. Rainier in clear view!
Mt. Rainier seen through the trees as we drive through McChord.
Our drive thru McChord. So beautiful!!
We will see what tomorrow brings.....We had a wonderful Sunday in Washington!!
