We took a day trip to the Pacific Ocean.....drove the Pacific Coast Scenic Hwy. Such a beautiful drive!
Many bridges, lakes and rivers along the way.....
We also traveled thru the Olympic National Forest.....

We followed the Chehalis River and it was a beautiful drive....
We arrived in Ocean Shores and headed to the beach area....
We took our chairs and enjoyed the sights....
I checked out the water but it was freezing!!!!
We thought the sand was blowing like it does in the Gulf (Corpus Christi) but it was steam.
It was pretty cool for us, probably in the upper 60's. Washingtonians do not seem to be bothered, they are in the cold, cold waters!!!
We got a nice lady to take our picture....
I walked the area while Manuel sits and relaxes....
Gorgeous beach....so different from Corpus. There is no wind here.
The pooches have a great time in the water....

These guys made some good money today. They had a bunch of horses! Good way to make money....go to the beach with your horses and sit back as people ride....
We drove around Ocean Shores and Ocean City.....they are both small towns with beautiful beaches.
We headed home to McChord and it was a really nice drive.
We wondered what these were....look like silos or maybe even a nuclear reactor plant.
huh???!!!
