We head back out on 64 East and follow the River again for a good while.
The scenery was breathtaking all along the way.
Chatuge Lake ...beautiful area. But we are starting to climb some heavy duty mountains!!
and going doooown the mountains!
Through the Nantahala National Forest.
Yes, I get very nervous with these roller coaster rides....8% is a bit much for me. It has just rained, too.
Of course, this is why I am afraid! The mountains are beautiful but traveling them in the Motorhome is a different feeling. Scary!
There is usually a church at the top of the mountain so you can remember to pray all the way down the mountain!
I really love it! It is beautiful! Thank you, Jesus for taking care of us along the way!
We passed by Sylva and looks like a nice town. It is only a few miles away so we will come back here.
Beautiful horses as we enter the road to The Wilderness Campground in Whittier, NC.
Looks good....the pool as we enter the park.
We check out the sites and get ready to go park.
Boy! We are glad to be at camp now!
This is like the tractor Manuel used to have and sold a couple of years ago. Pretty.
The Lambes....across from us.
We got all set up and went into Sylva to check out the town. The Courthouse.
The Downtown area....
Guadalupe Cafe....wonder how the Mexican food is here? hmmmmm!
Smoky Mountain High!! High School, that is. It has drizzled off and on all day.
We had a great day today. Great Friends and Great Times. Until tomorrow.
