Whittier to Asheville, NC

Last evening we decided to have a cookout so here are some pictures of that event.   Dinner with our traveling friends was great!

This morning we headed out at about 9:30.  The Lambes drive down the hill to lead the way.

We have a 50 mile drive to Asheville, NC.  Here we go...up & down the mountains!!

This park is really in The Wilderness (its' name).  Roads are narrow and curvy.

Out on the main road....beautiful Smoky Mountains ahead.

We saw the cut off to the Blue Ridge Parkway.....

Isn't this just beautiful?!!  I love it!

What an awesome 50 mile drive.  Beautiful country!
