Walton's Mountain Museum

After our Skyline Drive, we headed to Schuyler, VA to visit the area where the Walton's series was filmed.  This is an awesome place to visit.

This is the home used in the movies but it is now apartments.  After the filming here, it was a restaurant but I guess there is more money in renting it out as apartments.

It is a beautiful building.

Next door to the home is the school house which is now the Walton's Mountain Museum.

There are only a couple of homes and one church on this mountain.

The real Ike Godsey General Store.  We had a very late lunch here.

Note in front of the red truck at the far end....there is a piano there.

We ate outside where it is nice.   Oh, then it starts thundering and getting windy.

It started to rain just as wee finished our meal.  We head back over the mountains and through the woods to our Coaches.

We called it a night early to be ready to go early the next morning.   What a great day we had!
