Yaquima Head Light House was built in 1873. This is Oregon's tallest light house at 93' and you are allowed to climb 111 steps of the 114 cast iron steps to view the lens and lantern. I made it all the way up and down the stairs. What an awesome sight. Enjoy the pictures below.
The lantern.
Views from the top spiraling steps inside the light house....
I begin my walk down the steps.
More pictures as I come down the steps....
A view looking down. I could not look down, just pointed the camera down...
Back on the ground....That was a walk well worth taking.
We walk the grounds and back to the car.
We drive to the Quarry Cove to view the seals.
They are lounging on the rocks...
They are almost camouflaged with the rocks....
Our drive out of the park....
We drive to Newport which is 3 miles away.
Onward to Florence. This is a beautiful bridge.

We arrived in Florence and checked out the area. We headed back after we ate dinner. Pictures will be posted next.
